Tasseography is the ancient practice of reading tea leaves to find hidden meanings or answers about the future. It begins with brewing a cup of loose-leaf tea. After you drink most of the tea, you swirl the remaining leaves and flip the cup upside down onto a saucer. When you turn the cup back over, the leaves stick to the sides in different patterns. By looking closely at these shapes—like a bird for good news or a heart for love—you can interpret the messages left behind in your cup.
